Love is but a river, on which we all can ride
Full of twists, and turns, and dangers, down it we do glide
A maze of stumps and boulders, block us from the shore
when we think that we have made it through, we find theres only more.
Scrapes and scratches, big and small
yet still we do not fall
for the boat which we do ride upon
is "love which conquors all"..

you don't need to rhyme.
as a poet... oh and a romanticist (lol)
I tend to get very annoyed when people insist on rhyming, and then don't do the nessicary metric verse along with the rhyme.
if you want to follow a rhymed pattern you need to make it seemless, oh and actually do the pattern.
you're not doing it.
as a poem, frankly it sucks.
as a concept it's lovely.
so...
you're concept is nice, but work on your well... poetic abilities.
oh and for something simple try just simple free verse
one idea
per line.
oddly, it'll look
very nice
on paper, and it'll
sound lovely out loud too.
to grade it
B-/ C+
over-all
A- concept
C/C- writing.
rhymed poetry works well in longer poems.
that one's awfully short.
usually they're a minimum of like five stanzas...
so... keep working on it.
