Dear Mom-to-Be,
Congratulations! The first and best words you will hear about your son are not unique but most certainly are not boring. As a matter of fact it's rather mundane and called out often. Maybe something like, "He looks good Mom!" "A HEALTHY BOY!"
Now on to your question. While you are looking through baby books for names, and asking everyone from the server at the local Starbucks (Mochachino), to the bank clerk (Over Drawn), or your car mechanic (Spark Plug) I would slow down, take a deep breath, and CHILL.
If possible, ask your mom about the names she was considered before you were born. Then take the very worst name and imagine yourself going through school and life with it. Hey, it might have been a very unique name that she loved. But more than likely, it would have made you hit the Pampers Express while still in diapers looking for a new family and less unique name.
The biggest and most important thing is to acknowledge that while you like to be unique, your son may not appreciate your efforts. After all, it is HIS name, not yours! And he is the one who is going to have to carry it through not only all his life, but more importantly, through all those school yard years!
Too often parents saddle their kids with "unique" names and it's their kid who have to suffer the teasing and torment.
All kids will at sometime or another get teased and all too often it can escalate in bullying. And that pain can last long after the name calling stops. If it's not about his name, it will be about something else. A physical difference or problem, something about the family, etc. Just don't give the school yard bullies additional ammo! I know from experience.
Do you have a relative, friend, teacher or someone else in your life that meant a great deal to you. Or perhaps even an entertainer, an author, or a character in a book or movie. Not Eminem! Please, I beg you! You don't have to be dull as Aunt Ida's dress...but you don't have to put her in Spandex either! (That's a frightening image!)
Above all, just remember...your beautiful son is going to be totally unique all on his very own...regardless of what you name him.
Take care and enjoy your very own unique, fantastic miracle.

I think u should look for a unique name in a book or a song that has some meaning to you.
You can find a lot of unique names in the book of Psalms.

What is the last name? You are going to want something that flows well together. After all boys don't get to change their names. You will also want something that is unique but not so much so that everyone pronounces it wrong. Good Luck this is a really important decision.

I really don't think Unique is a boys name but you could try something like Skylar Kevin. This is a down to earth name that your son will be proud of too.

I see your name (Christina). I think "Topher" (short version of Christopher) would be a good name. I named my granddaughter by using 3 names as references Kay, Sandra, and John. Her name is Kyra Jonea'. Her name is rather unique and so is she. She has a little friend (boy) named Quin Leviathan. His little sister is Olivia. Those names are rare too.

It's easy I name my son jordan because he was born the day Micheal Jordan came back to basketball and he was my favorite player. My daughter is named Aaliyah after the singer because her mother liked her so much don't do what I did but find a name you love to hear and do that, about unique you don't want them to fell in school because they can't spell their name.

Your baby boy is expectant? That's already unique. You mean, *you're* expectant. If he's expectant, then that means he's about to have a baby.
I like names from Ancient Greek religion--maybe Bellerophon or Herakles. Ha-ha. I don't know. But don't take a normal name and spell it some stupid way. I hate it when people do that.

James Alexander. They are both such beautiful names and can have so many variations nickname wise. James, Jimmy, Jaime, etc. Alexander, Alex, Xander, Sander, etc. And other kids at school will have a hard time trying to tease him about his name. Congrats by the way on your baby boy. I wish him health, happiness, compassion, depth and prosperity.
