Picking just one dish from each country smplifies their culture too much. Mexican food goes way beyond tacos. Being the second lergest country inlatin america, mexican cuisine is better characterized if its broken down into regions. The same can be said about italy, since pizza only represents Naples and Sicily

Dont restrict your self to one dish. You'll be missing out on so many great things!

Anyways, here's some more regional foods to get you interested

Mexico - Mole
Nicaragua - Nacatamales, Gallo Pinto
Cuba - Ropa vieja
El Salvador - Pupusas
Venezuela - Arepas
Brazil - Feijoada
Argentina - Churrasco

Spain - Paella
France - Boeuf Bourgougnion
Germany - What else? Beer!!! hahaha
Hungary - Goulash
Greece - Lamb kebabs and tzatziki

Morrocco - Lamb Tagine
Arabia - Its not just one thing, its like a smorgasboard of entrees called mezze
Viet nam - Tomyum soup and Pho

And so forth....

Tacos are not the national dish of Mexico.. if anything is would be some sort of "Mole" dish...

Italy would actually be sauce in general, since they put it on everything...

Argentine would be Beef - barbecued with salt and garlic, Empanadas or Chimi-Churri - the sauce they put on everything.

I'll stop here, because the list would be too long...
