well, I actually live 30 mins from you. $1200 for a reliable car is kinda hard.check out cars.com, also pick up an autotrader next time you go to the gas station. believe it or not if you can find an old VW bug it will be very cheap yoru price range, and they cost pennies to fix, they are also very dependable.
