I am sitting in the room with an Army Major. He says that he doesn't think it's possible due to age limits, but he's not completely sure. He suggests that you go talk to a recruiter. He thinks that you will reach the army's mandatory retirement age before you are eligible for government retirement with pay. But he says to confirm with a recruiter because he doesn't want to give you bad information.

Sorry, but they won't accept you. The cut off age was about 25 years or so ago. No, not even the Reserves will have you. No, not even the National Guard. No, not even the Foreign Legion. You are just too old. Sorry.
Why don't you get married and have some kids or become a teacher instead? Only way to make drill Sargent I know of at your age.

nicely, conflict hero or no longer, enormous brother John replaced right into a sexual pervert himself. thoughts abound of his insatiable thirst for women folk and had everyday 'intercourse events' contained in the White domicile swimming pool. Father, 'Joe' Kennedy made his fortune as a rum runner for the time of prohibition and replaced right into a nicely-known Nazi supporter top up until eventually the 2d it wasn't worthwhile to any extent further. Ted (hic!) Kennedy is the only one for particular that unquestionably have been given away with homicide....

The Army just increased the maximum age to enlist to 42, but unless you have some other federal service that you could claim credit for, it seems you're too late

I don't think you can. I believe the US military has an age limit of 35yrs old for first time enlistment. The French Foreign Legion will go up to 40yrs old.

Sorry to have to tell you sir, but I think the maximum enlistment age for the regular army is 35. You might still be able to join as a reservist though!

The Army has a 35 yr cap unless you are pre-military. But there are a lot of civilian jobs if you talk to a recruiter.

Talk to a recruiter, with certain skills you can join the Reserves much older than 36. In KY we had a well-known Heart Surgeon join at 54, a couple of years ago.

i'm not sure what the cut off age for the US armed forces is. around 34 or 35. if you're considering attempting to join in another country, it might help to get the age limits for the branches of their military.
