Ok, I'm on day 4 of this diet, and I have already lost 4lbs. So, I was thinking. Are there any other "soup" diets out there, I like this soup but I don't think I could eat this for much longer than a week. I know it's a 7 day diet but if i want to do it in a month or so as a clense. So, does any one out there know of another soup diet?

get on the web and look up the oakland diet. it was a diet created by the navy to help the service members of all the armed forces members to lose weight for the ones having trouble as far as being overweight. it is a 7 day diet but it is not just soup. however one of the items on the diet is a cabbage soup but it has different vegetable's in it. i tasted it when i was stationed in hawaii and it was great. one of the civilians working for me was on the diet for a week and she dropped seven lbs and she would do the diet every other week and she was fine as helllll when she finished. i couldn't tell her then cause sexxual harrassment was a major thing in the military. i did tell her when i got out the first time i talked to her . anyway just look up the oakland diet.

There is another one called the St. Joseph's Hospital diet. It is basically the same as the cabbage soup diet but the soup is different.
The soup is made with:
4 cups beef broth
1 head of chopped celery
2 large green peppers
2 large onions
2 large cans of tomatoes
4 cups water
You can also put red peppers, mushrooms, bean sprouts, any vegetable that contains very few carbs.
Good luck with these diets, you shouldn't stay on them more than two weeks at a time, you can quit for a week and go back on it for two. I can't go on these diets more than 3 or 4 days at a time, after day two, just thinking about the soup makes me nauseous.
This diet is given to overweight people who need surgery but need to lose weight first and it does work if you can stick to it and you do lose fat, not just water. But it says right on the diet not to stay on it longer than 2 weeks at a time.

Diets don't work. 99% gain it back. Is your diet stressing you out? Soups are not good cleanse. See page on fasting for cleansing diets. Sorry if this is lecture.
Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

There's that diet soup recipe, where you throw in certain veggies.
The thing is that you're not going to lose more than just water weight at best, muscle weight at worse. You're not going to lose fat.
If you're really wanting to lose weight, then try weightwatchers, or a good simple diet eliminating processed food (candy, chips, chocolate, white bread etc.)
Even as a cleanse, the cabbage soup diet is ridiculous. If it was a long term solution, everyone would do it and no one would be overweight.
