Not all one night stands are with strangers and they can be good if you're friends and you just want the sex with out the rest, you both have to know how things stand or someone will get hurt. But.......I've found (from my own experience and friends) that one night stands or causal sex don't work as someone always ends up feeling more that the other. The best thing is to find someone you care about and that they care for you too and it will be much better.

Depends some people like being able to hav a quick shag without the emotianal attachment, I myself dont think one night stands are a good thing u should only have sex with someone u care about or love. Is a one night stand really that satisfying for a women most ( not all!) men take time to find what a gal really likes in bed .

I don't know if it's good or bad since I never had one. It doesn't seem to be something I would be interested in. I am either interested in a girl and would be willing to be intimate with her several times or I am simply not interested at all so I don't want to have sex with her at all. Knowing that it's gonna be a one time thing and still going for it seems like a stupid thing to me. I usually wan't to see again the person I slept with and not be uncomfortable about it. I guess one-night stands should be really uncomfortable and meaningless.

I see nothing wrong with a one night stand providing its what both parties want.
The need to satisfy one's desires is sometimes more prominant than at other times. If pleasure can be derived by a one night stand then why not - both parties agree that they both need the pleasurable feeling of a sexual coupling then so be it.
Perhaps if more people agreed to have sex together just for the one time, then there would be far less rape cases and far less attacks on sexy girls

If it wasn't for one night stands I'd have had half of the sex partners that I have had. Most have been with long term friends and colleagues and a one nighter never did any harm to these relationships. Go for it, it's better than the self appreciation variety as long as it's "safe"

All relationships start with a one night stand, and some then go on for longer. I reckon sex is an important part of any relationship, and there is certainly room for lots of sexual incompatibility. So its good to know where things are at before a relationship gets too entwined.

Yeah, I say go for it, and you never know what it might lead to.

Definitely the most awful thing you could possibly perpetrate. You will feel bloody awful in the morning, you may have caught something, you can easily get pregnant, and apart from ( the so called instant sex and all that) it's basically disrespectful to both parties and means nothing except lust. NO I AM NOT A PRUDE I AM JUST SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE and an unwanted child. I ruined my life for a quick 5 minutes.....be warned its not at all funny!

Depends on your circumstance

they can be great when you've just come out of a long and tiring relationship, they can be great for a quick release when drunk and they can be great when you are in that "I dont give a sh*t" mood

But after a while they can be soul destroying, they can really hurt you more than you know and they can be dangerous more than anything
so ultimately. Not worth it I say.

at the very least get a f*ck buddy who is a mate.. at least you have some level of trust
