When I say I got sick, the symptoms were similar to a cold. Ex: fever, sore throat... I'm feeling a lot better, still sound stuffy, but now I'm just unbelievably tired all the time. It seems to come and go. I'm not sure if I'm just recovering, or if I need to see a doctor and find out if its mono.

I strongly suggest seeing a doctor and getting lab tests. IF you had strep, it has not gone away, and can really wreck the body permanently....joints, heart, kidneys! IF it is mono, you need lots of bed rest. Why are you asking here? You need to see a doctor immediately for these tests. There are lots of things that give these same symptoms, including: Strep, HIV, Hep B and Hep C, Mono, some invasions of staph. You have let precious time fly by. IF it is bacterial in nature, so much damage can be done so quickly. Heart valves can be ruined, you name it. Go now!
