In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

But that just means that you are not looking at the bible. If you read the bible, it shows how Satan helped us humans gain knowledge (Gen. 3). Also, it shows how Jesus wants us to be like sheep (Psalm 79:13 and Psalm 100:3). God is the worst one of all. He killed every living animal on this planet (Genesis 6:17) He also killed innocent babies: (Exodus 12:29). Even in the book of numbers God continually causes many to die in various plagues. Read the bible and you will see that Satan is one that promotes knowledge and God is a deadly murderer.

Dude. We are living in the last days. The whole, however long, was satans chance to get the world to follow or worship him. Jehovah God allowed him an amount of time to do this and his time is almost up.

Everyone likes Satan now....I didn't know that. I thought the majority of the world doesn't even believe in Satan.

I haven't talked to him in a while but last I checked he was whining about how he didn't have any real friends, and how everyone just wanted to hang around him because he was cool. I don't agree with the s*** he pulls, mind you, but no one really likes satan for satan.
Poor guy. Deserves what he gets though.

I agree. They all probably just saw some celebrity following satan and now they like satan too because they think its the cool thing to do. bunch a sheep almost as bad as christians!

I hope that your not trying to impose that it is OK to dump on non Christians because it is not. Its OK to say that you do not believe in the evil ways but we should not even hate Satan we should although pity and pray for him and his followers as well as pray for their souls. Try to be understanding of the fact that they are misled, and forgive them if they impose any wrongdoings that effect you. You will feel much better after that!!!

It's not that people like satan their trying to be diffrent and trying to find the greater power which they think is the devil which he does suck because he was and angel and he betrayed god.

You say why does everyone like satan?
There are those who make that choice which they believe is right for them.
If they knew more about him it may make them think in a different direction he is the master deceiver.
