my friends sayed that when a person gets tapeworms that they can come out in your poop. is that true? do people even get tapeworms?

Yes. That is how it is usually spread. If a person has a tapeworm, they need to be treated because it can eventually kill them. A person can also get a tapeworm from meats like ham that hasn't been properly processed. In that case, there is usually a tapeworm larva in the meat and the person ingests it and gets a tapeworm. I had a cat once that had a tapeworm and, after giving it medicine, it threw it up - it was three feet long!

yes they come out in little strips at first, then, a huge strip will come out that eventually will have to be cut. You have to take certain medications in order to kill it. Its really disgusting
