Child abuse is self perpetuating... a child that is abused is more likely to abuse their own children because that is how they were raised and that is how they don't know how to raise a child without abuse then. So sad. And if donating money to help stop this from happening over and over again is not a waste of money.

Child abuse will only stop when parents understand that thier child is not thier property, or something they can live vicariously through. A child is but a gift from god, given to them on loan to nurture, cherrish and love for a short time. Parents must realize that they are morally obligated to to raise thier child in a healthy loving way so that child will know how he or she is supposed to raise her his own children and what his or her role is as a parent.

Society doesn't allow parents to parent because an extreem section of society has abused it's privilage. A child needs a mother and a father who are willing to give up thier own needs in favor of the well being of the child. When 100 percent of parents get that, we will no longer have child abbuse.

I donate money direct from my salary every month to the NSPCC. You want to see and read about what kids go through. Most people just turn their backs cos it's to upsetting and they don't want to upset there happy little life.

Money does go to help the kids through support, minders and carers. It also goes to vigilantes to kick s**t out of the Ba**ards who do the abusing....COWARDS!....Calm down... No but seriousley don't NOT donate just because you think it won't help. You could have saved a child that time or prosecuted the abuser.

People who genuinely care should do more than open a pocket book they should get out there get involved and do something more: Mentoring, volunteering, just maybe sitting down and listening and it doesn't cost a thing but a little of your time and effort. NO Child should EVER have to suffer at the hands of an adult Not Now Not Ever.....

when you look at a child, any child you will not know if that child has been abused. i think there will be alot more abuse going on than statstics show. It is only in recent times that children have been encouraged to talk out loud and complain if things arent right. In Victorian times (only 100yrs ago) children were seen and not heard there was plenty of abuse going on then i bet yet unheard of, I love Childline it is an english charity but it helps all children. When my daughter was having problems with bullies she phoned them and they gave her advice. If they asked me to put my hand in my pocket i would not have a problem!

Yes, I donate time and money to help children who are abused and to help change laws to protect children. I'm sure it helps because I can see the results.

The National Association to Protect Children (link below) is a political lobbyist group that is a pro-child, anti-crime group committed to protecting children.

i donate because of the ads on tv..........at the end of the day the social services are letting many kids slip thru the net.......more genuine volunteers to stop the abuse r needed..the system is fkd honest.....if it makes u feel better then give money, but i chose to take amore active role. The money u donate does help but what we need is a community dedicated to this cause!p.s bring back hanging too.......id gladly donate to the executers

Hope This Helps You .....

BY 'NAMING AND SHAMING' convicted child sex offenders, the tabloid newspaper, the News of the World, unleashed another spate of vigilante attacks against suspected abusers. Universally condemned by child protection agencies, the probation service, and other organisations working with sex offenders, they have been forced to back down. But not before innocent people were physically attacked and forced to flee their homes. In a similar outbreak three years ago a 14-year-old girl was burnt alive when her home was firebombed by vigilantes who wrongly thought it was occupied by a sex offender.

Money donated doesn't go to those abused kids still with their abusers.... They go to kids in orphanages or those in foster care. Think about it.

In most cases, these kids grow up to abuse themselves. It's a cycle, part of nature. We can help them, but something done by those who raise kids, stay with them forever.

I do care, but what can you do?
