The testing is for us, ironically enough, it is to bring out the characteristics he want us to show and to teach us some lesson sometimes.

Why does God test our faith is he already knows the results of the test?
If God never tested anyone, then there would be no test results to already know. Hence, even though he knows what the results will be, the test still has to happen so that it's results can be foreseen.
Make sense?

Testing is actually for our benefit. Just as a period of drought will cause a tree to grow its roots deeper in search of water, a period of "testing" in our lives can cause us to dig "deeper" within ourselves and our faith, and become better persons.
Let's face it: when life is easy, very little growth takes place. It is the hard times that bring out our best qualities, and force them to grow.
That is also when WE learn what we have within us, and what we don't.

He wants us to see what choices we make in life. life is a test. you either take it or leave it. of course that decision wasnt up to us. we all are taking the test right now. but if you change the way you are, that choice is up to you. and God knows it.

or... maybe he's not testing us. Just maybe, god doesn't control every movement of every being and item in the universe every second. Perhaps things are let to happen for themselves.

He already knows the outcome, we don't until we had gone through it.
