I can understand trying to help out somebody who's lost, but why try to push Christ off on somebody who already has something to believe in?
not that this is me, so no preaching please

after having read some of the answers to this question, I feel that I must further explain the question, and my reasoning behind it.
I have never had anyone from any other belief come to me and say that I am a bad person, and that I will not go to heaven if I do not believe in what they believe in. And that there are so many other beliefs out there, and that the Bible was not proven to be written from the words of God. The only proof of the Bible being true is faith.
here is a definition of faith that I found in the dictionary:
Faith: firm belief in something for which there is no proof.
so therefore, the only thing that can be proven is science. so before you go preaching your faith, try to understand that the person you are talking to has the same faith in something else, which also teaches to be good, honest, and loving.

Some Christians forget that Jesus was a gentleman and never pushed himself on anyone. I try to share God's word by showing love and grace to others as He does. I apologize on behalf of all of the Christians who have tried to push Christianity on you.

As a Christian, I am sorry to hear someone has offended you by being so one sided and ignorant. I see this in my own church a whole lot. Hopefully if you pray to your God, that they see the error in their ways and make a change. I don't understand the whole "fighting" for your beliefs because isn't that the key...they are YOUR beliefs? Anyway, hope you got a lot out of this posting(I did). Religion is the hottest topic on the planet and always will be (because we are not here by accident, and we all have a devine purpose!) People just don't want to admit it. Stay blessed!

First Jesus gave the parting command to go into all the world and preach the gospel, that all may believe, that none may be lost.
Secondly, when a person becomes a christian, the Holy Spirit dwells within them and compels them to share the love of God with all that would listen. All must be given a choice so that they can either accept or reject God's love, the consequences will then be on their shoulders as to why they chose as they did.

The Christians who do that really believe that Christ is the only way, and therefore they consider all non-Christians lost, regardless of what they believe. I do not agree with their viewpoint at all, but I do try to have at least some patience with them because when I think about it, I realize that they are really just trying to do what they think is right. They think that non-Christians will go to hell, and so it is out of concern for others that they want them to become Christians. I try to keep that in mind when encountering these types of Christians, even though I really dislike the evangelizing.

first let me tell you Christianity is not a religion, Christianity is
to have a relationship with God. that's the reason Jesus came to this world to put end to religious people. if read the bible you'll notice that in the gospels of Matthew, mark, Luke, and john
Jesus is trying to tell Jews and gentiles(us) that the 10 commandments are the laws of how we should leave by.
not to overwrite them with there own laws. when a christian
tells you about Jesus they are only doing what Jesus commanded
us to do. you should read the word of God(the bible). The bible was writing by man but inspire by the Holy Spirit.
God bless you.

First of all, a lot of people do it because Christ is the way to salvation and they just want to help. And second ive never pushed anything, it does seem I see a lot of questions like this or atheists trying to push their lack of belief or evolution ideas. So stop seeing it one way and realize that everyone pushes what they believe, even if its not religion.

Christians just want to help because of there strong faith in what they believe. Some do it in the wrong way or out of spite but no body's perfect. All I'm saying is don't hate on them they do it out of good will and the seriousness of the situation.

maximum human beings do no longer even study their very own faith they only trust what's declared. huge difference between their actuality and the fact. Religions have 3 issues in subject-unfastened,funds, skill and administration. Is any of them suitable? would not look so. Mortal guy commencing church homes and claiming they are suitable and everybody else is incorrect. dying brings all solutions it extremely is that if there's a afterlife.

Christianity is something that evokes passion within those who are believers. And so, like anyone who is passionate about something, Christians want to share it, regardless of who they are talking with. It seems frustrating, but since I have done it, I can understand. Most of us do not want to preach, we just get really excited. So, I apologize for our exuberance. Really I do. Christians, myself included, need to step back and practice humilty and love, because THAT is what our faith is about.
On a side note, after reading some of the responses, I would like to pose this thought: For all of you who hate Christians...might I suggest that you get to know one? You may find that they are really quite swell...and.. *GASP* that their main goal is NOT to convert you...instead, its to be your friend and enjoy time with you. It irks me that you do not know Christians..and yet you judge them...Practice what YOU preach.

A lot of other religions try to push their religion on others, not just Christians. It's just because most people believe their religion is right and want to "save" as many people as possible.
