Cuban purist here. A perfect Cuban sandwich should have roast pork, swiss cheese, ham, a little butter on the outside of the bread and pressed to perfection.

This is one of my favorite sandwiches. When I'm in a hurry, or not really hungry, I prepare myself this little threat, accompained with a good pilsener beer.

Ingredients
3 slices whole wheat bread.
8 very thin slices of hard salami (Citterio brand is the best)
butter at room temperature

Directions
Step: 1 Spread butter on one side of two slices of bread, and on both sides of the third one.
Put 4 slices of hard salami on a buttered slice of bread.
Cover with the both buttered faces bread.
Make another salami layer, and close the sandwich with the last slice of bread.
Optionally, heat the panini machine, and toast the sandwich for one minute, until the bread is light crispy.

Step: 2 Open a a beer.

Step: 3 Enjoy!
