An elliptical machine that has ski poles to incorporate upper body movement as well. You can then let your feet just ride the pedals and make your arms to the pulling and pushing. By going back and forth you get cross training. Obviously it is up to you as to how much you actually get out of this in terms of calories burned. If you take it easy you will not burn much. But if you put a good effort into it the fact that both your upper and lower body are being used will mean that you are burning more calories than if it was just lower body movement.

The Elliptical Trainer is the BEST machine out there. You can easily burn 450 calories within 30 minutes.
