Wisdom teeth don't always come in... they could be "impacted", which means stuck, under the gums/bone. If they aren't giving you any problems, you may never need to worry about them. I have patients that keep them just fine, and I have others who decide to get them out as a preventitive measure, in case they give them problems down the road. It is true that when you are younger the roots are not as developed and they are much easier to remove (age 17-20). After that, the roots become longer, the bone becomes denser, and it is more difficult. But again, if they aren't giving you any trouble, you could be lucky and not need to have them removed, or maybe even don't have them all, some patients only have 1 or 2!

I never got my wisdom teeth. The dentist said it's genetic if you get them or not. My mom and her dad only had two. It's really not so bad to have them. My husband's wisdom teeth were inpacted, and he just needed some TLC after they were removed.

No, you're not a dead person, it just may be more difficult to get them out later on (if you ever have to, and some people never do get them out). My dentist told me that I'd be better off to have mine out while I'm still young tho (26) because the bone would be "softer"

It does not matter if it appears or not. If it does not appear, you are still not wise enough :) That is "wisdom teeth" mean. I got them when I was 32.

it all depends on how old you are...it can take up to 35 years for them to finally come thru. when i was younger, i had to have 4 of my teeth pulled to get my braces put on and that actually made enough room for all 4 of my wisdom teeth to snuggle in there, i havent had them taken out because they are not bothersome. you shouldn't get scared, I'm sure you have plenty of time, plus, you could already have them but not know it(it could happen)
