Yes, the probiotic can be killed by our stomach acids. The only product that guarantees the delivery of live microflora to the intestines is Shaklee's Optiflora. I'm not sure about the yogurt, but there are acidophilus and multidophilus capsules that you can take. They are in a special capsule so that the probiotics get where they need to get. The company Solaray puts out a line of probiotics which are great.
