Dear Teen,
Sorry to hear that you hate your stomach. If your stomach and digestion system are working properly, you are healthy in other ways, and you're motivated to find out more.. there is much hope. Will it be better by the time school starts....depends when it does start for you. A few weeks of time could certainly help. But if it doesn't get completely flat by then, keep working on it...at least you are on your way.
I don't quite understand what you mean by the doctor says it is normal and you think it is an excuse? He is talking about you are getting exercise and toned muscles weigh more than fat.
Some things to consider.
For one thing, it might be hereitary. It could be that you are getting ready to grow more. Do you stand up straight and tall?
I thought I did until I was corrected. It might mean you need to do some tight tumming tucking exercises. You can find these in exercise books and probably on the health internet sites. One that is helpful is just sucking in your gut and buns as tight as you can and hold it for 10 seconds. Do just a few 3 times a day and work up to more repetitiions and a longer time to hold it in. You can stand or sit tall or even lying in bed when doing these. It's possible you will find yourself doing these more and more when hardly thinking about it.
You can do this even when doing some other activities..and other people don't even have to notice. Actually it's good for most people to do unless there are health issues that prevent this. It can also help you stand straighter which can make for a better appearance, better posture, and can help confidence.
Some flabby stomachs and large waistlines
could be from too much time sitting at the computer, watching T.V. and possibly even too much time laying/sitting around doing nothing or even something good like reading. These tend to be real culprits even if your are eating healthy.
I tried checking your Body Mass Index and it said you were not overweight. I have listed the source below so you can check for yourself. I had to estimate your birthday and that your measurement was taken August 10. You can give more exact details yourself when looking.
Also they have suggestions on there that might give you a start if you have questions.
Remember to eat balanced nutritional meals with average portions if you are exercising. Do not skipped ones to lose weight. You're body will thank you. You are at a critical growing time in your life and will be for some years. Excessive restrictive dieting and excessive exercise can hurt your health any time in your life. It is really important for you now to do what is right for a girl that is your age and through the teens. Things done incorrectly now can adversely (Seriously, negatively) affect your health the rest of your life with the possibility of never able to correct the situation.
Look up some nutrition web sites if you cannot get all your answers from the reference I have given below. Ask for information on portion size and balanced meals information for teens.
While you are working on trying to strengthen and tone your abdomen muscles and very concerned about your appearance...
Check other important areas that need balanced in your life also....Your heart, soul, mental health, and who you are...and that you are precious.
You need enough good rest...and time to quietly relax and hopefully be in prayer.
Treat your whole being kindly. It is a fantastic and intricate creation of God's.
Take care. I have been there in the past in my teens and twenty-;lus. Just trying to help, not pick on you.
Best wishes.

Do not eat anything during the night ,like before going to bed. Don't eat too much sweet stuff. Eat heathly food like salad..... Do sit ups everyday at least 2 sets of 10 sit ups. Eat breakfast every morning. Sleep like 8 or 9 hours long. You need more sleep to lose weight and that helps your stomach be flat

The best thing to do is the good ol' original crunches and sit-ups... You might need to start a diet just to help your body's energy and muscles just to start moving right....
But I do 5 sets of 20 crunches every night.. ((100 all together)) take about a minute breather in between each set and stretch your stomach a little bit... Same with sit-ups, for me they don't seem AS effective for some reason ((maybe it's just me)) but I usually do about 5 sets of 10 on these....
The best way to crunches.. Lay on your back have your legs in the air and cross them. ((Like your sitting Indian style with your legs in the air)) Do not inter-cross your fingers because it starins your neck!!!! So, I hope this helps!!

Well first off you will need to go on a diet. Cut out every junkfoods you have and if you get hungry in the afternoon try drinking water to make yourself full. Next try sleeping early, because you will need to wake up early in the morning to jog for 1 hour, minimum of 30 minutes(DO NOT eat anything except for a banana and a glass of water before you run in the morning). After that try running 3 more times in the afternoon (1hour or 30 minutes each jog) Try not to stop while you r jogging, at at the same pace. Do different types of abominal exercises(crunches, situps, reverse leg crunch, side crunch, captain's chair etc.)Choose 3 exercises for your abs, and do 2 sets of 35 reps or more for each exercise every hour, if you can. stretch out your abs before and after you work them out. One last tip, DO NOT EAT PAST SIX O'CLOCK.

My dear i know it is so attractive when you have a flat stomach, but it needs a great effort to achieve so you have to keep on exercising for at least half an hour every day ,also jogging helps, drink a lot of water ,do not eat then sleep, always sit or stand straight, finally stretching helps a lot

Sit ups. Do them while you watch TV. As many as you can every time you get a chance. 250 per day would be a great goal by the time school starts, but you would be ripped.

If your doctor says you're normal, then stop worrying. Too many girls your age obsess over their appearance and end up anorexic, bulemic, or just plain sick from eating nothing but the occassional junk food.
