Yes - when the dog gets to the point that it is an unhealthy weight because of "treats" - it's too much. When the dog is spoiled to the point of damaging things and not obeying - it's spoiled too much. Much like children actually.

Yes you can.
If the dog rules the house and the people live to cater to the dog and do everything the dog wants it is spoiled.
If the dog is aggressive or gets into the trash or is not housebroken or will not let the people sit on the furniture or let strangers into the house it is spoiled.
People need to be the leader and the dog is the follower.
If everyone trained with their pet we would all have better happier pets.

It depends on what you mean. You can spoil them with too many treats. But you can never spoil them with too much love and attention.

since im guilty of being a compulsive dog spoiler, im gonna have to say hell no. if u think about it, for all the love and companionship they give, they deserve to be spoiled. and i dont spoil my dog with food. i spoil him with love and attention and ham. and sleepin on my bed and getting on the couch and even though he knows hes not a puppy anymore he somehow manages to get his 60lb body comfortably onto my lap........man the list goes on

You sure can! That's why such a large percentage of north american dogs have serious temperament problems. A dog needs you to be their pack leader and set rules, give them plenty of exercise and good food. After that, they need lots of affection but don't forget the foundations for a good canine citizen.

Well, somewhat.
If you overfeed a dog with bad food, you need to help get it back to healthy food. But when it comes to petting, it's not really a problem.
