Love just doesn't seem enough to sum up why I love Jesus.

Before He came into my life, I was very happy in my world without Love. I would have never married and my children would not have been born.

Every time I think about what he did for me and how undeserving I am. I always considered myself good until I saw what goodness was.

If I were to face him, I know I could not speak, but to soak his feet with tears of ...gratitude doesn't do it. I wish I could find the words.

Thank you for my tears of joy

The greatest precept in the law, according to Jesus, is the command to love. He even went as far as to say, "Love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you. If you do this, you will be true children of your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:44-45). The only real definition of love - the kind of love God is - found in the Bible is that of Christ's death on the cross. "God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in him will not be lost but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Christ did not die for us because of what he could get, but because of what he could give - love. His love was willingness to sacrifice - to endure pain and torture. I love him for all these reasons. I love him because he is Lord.

Jesus is perfect love. He is patient and kind, He never gives up on other people. He cares more for others than for Himself. He is not vain or self-seeking, He doesn't push Himself on other people, He doesn't rejoice in evil, but in goodness...wait a minute, am I quoting Corinthians 13, here? LOL!
I love Jesus because it is impossible for me to respond to Him in any other way!

Because every time churchies come down on me for being a dirty hippy I can remind them that J-bomb had long hair, hung out with hookers and fishermen and made sure everybody at the party had enough to drink.

I may not like what his friends have to say about him but the man is ok by me.

I love Him because He loved me enough to die on the cross to atone for my sins. I also love Him because He looks after me, He provides for all my needs, He's a friend that is with me unconditionally and is willing to accept me for the person I am and only wants the best for me.
