Exceping? Wow. If you'd only put the "T" in there I could have given a really snarky answer. As it stands now... I'm just sort of embarrassed for you.

I would never except him because I WANT him to be my Lord and Savior. I accept him as my Lord and Savior because it's the only way to be forgiven for my sins, which are inevitable.

When we die we will be judged by God's standards. His standards are the Ten Commandments written in the bible. If you have ever told a lie, stolen something (anything), used God's name in vain (to express disgust), or looked at a woman or a man with lust. These are just four of the Ten Commandments. How many have you broken? Everybody has broken them right? That's why the bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, because we have. Now punishment for sinning is death and eternal separation from God in hell. And because he is a faithful and just God he must go forth with his punishment.

Picture if you were standing before a judge because you have just murdered somebody. (Hatred is murder according to the bible). Now you can say whatever you want to the judge but he cannot just let you go no matter how he feels for you. You broke the law, now you must take the punishment.

God has to punish you, but if God came to this earth as a man, lived a sinless life, took the punishment upon himself, that would be dying and being raised again to conquer sin and death, in your place and all you have to do is accept his offer, then you can go free and spend an eternity with him in heaven.

Now to be saved from this punishment we must repent, that means turn from these sins( the breaking of God's commandments) and put our trust in Jesus(accepting his offer). You see there is no other way for us to get into heaven than without accepting Jesus, because if we don't we are still lost in our sins and God has to punish us. So I beg you, before you go to bed tonight to bow your head and accept Jesus into your life. Admit to him that you are a sinner and you want to turn from your sins. Ask him to come into your life. The bible says tomorrow is promised to no one, so I beg you once more, before you go to bed tonight to do this

If I had his PERSONAL assurance that I did not have to agree or approve of his God and he was willing to share with me the methods he used to tap into the innate abilities that are present in the human brain. Walking across water and feeding a multitude with only a loaf of bread and a couple fish would come in handy.

I think it was Sir Thomas Aquinas who said something like "It's better to believe and in the end not be right, than it is to not believe and in the end be wrong." Right?
