as Buddhist how do you teach your kids not to form attachments to material possesion whilst being respectf?

I think it's a good idea not to reward them with material possessions, give them positive reinforcement and love (which is what they want anyway) Toys and games are great for kids' development, but use them as tools, not goals.

However, there going to follow your example, be aware of that.
