You see me and my best friend Susie are both proud to be big girls (im 300 lbs and shes 280). My Grandparents like Susie and invited me and her to church with them. They are Lutherans. Anyways Susie and me thought it would be funny to get real gassy before the service- and each ate a can of baked beans (the kind with pork in it). We did this without my Grandparents Knowing. Anyways- and this is the funny part- during the service we kept blowing big ones during the priest's comments and kept giggling. My Grandma told us to stop, but we couldn't help it lol! We giggled and said "O excuse me" each time we farted! Some people were so uptight they got up and left. The priest then stopped the sermon and told My Grandparetns and us to leave. Everyone looked at us hatefully. Now my Grandparents wont speak to me. Im thinking "Come on! We were just playing!" How come they couldnt see the humor in that?

How old are you? It is rude and disresepectful to release your gasses anywhere in public, but to do it in church is absurd. To you it may mean nothing but to other people it is a place where they can talk to God and find meaning, for someone to act like a 5 yr. old boy in there just for fun is ridiculous. Furthermore, if you don't care about the other people at least have respect for your grandparents. They enjoy the company of you and your friend and they wanted to share something special to them with the two of you and instead you turned it into a farting contest for laughs. You basically said you didn't care about them, their feelings, or the things that are important to them. They are probably more dissapointed and hurt than mad. You two being big girls has nothing to do with the situation. It isn't that the people are being uptight, they are disgusted and ashamed that two women don't have more respect for themselves or the people who loved them enough to invite them to something so important. I hope you two realize there is a time and a place for jokes, and i am definitely a joker, but I know when it is appropriate. I hope you two realize this and apologize for your behavior and learn to have your fun without hurting other people.

Rudeness is rudeness no matter where, and Lutherans are not noted for having a sense of humor---especially in church. Really, though, what you did was almost unforgivable. You should have shown more respect and consideration for your grandmother. She invited you to share a part of her life and you repay her by being so obnoxious that SHE was expelled from a place that was important to her. She should thank you for this? I don't think so.

It is considered to be bad manners to pass gas around people, maybe go into the toilet room to do this because it might not be gas the next time, it might be the real thing!

you were being disrespectful in church, if u didnt want to be there, then u should not have went. u were rude to your grandparents, the preist, the ppl, and most important God. there is a time and place for everything... i think u got both of them wrong...
