That the LDS Church is right there to help with food, clothes, things of that nature? But when it comes down to their own members, they treat them like crap?
They want you to pay your tithing but they don't want to ever help you in return when you need it.
They are swimming in money because the church goers give it to them. Would they be broke if it wasn't for us?
Why won't they help those of their own faith?
(I am LDS so don't even think of saying I'm discriminating. I call it like i see it.)

It's all about pr. They want to look good and don't think they need to look good to their believers because... well, you're already believers, they've already won with you, as far as they're concerned.

I, too, am LDS and the church has helped more than you think with their own members. They do help families with money and food that can't afford it. I've grown up with this help and I am so grateful that I can be a part of this church that helps out so much. There are certain things you have to do first in order to get the help, I really don't know what they are since I never really asked, but when they help out with money, you can only get so much from them a year since they help out many people. And the Bishop's Storehouse is a place to help members (and I believe also) non-members with food and other items that they just can't afford. It really helps when you can't qualify for WIC for those with young children. The church helps out a lot more than you think to their own members. My family (while I was growing up) was very lucky to be part of the church because of their help and service they have given my family. I am thankful to be a part of this organization. And in return for helping my family out, I try to help out the church by paying my tithing and attending the service projects and such.

The LDS Church helps many people out because of the members giving of themselves to help others out. Practically all of the humanitarian services come from members of the church. If it weren't for those members of the church where do you think we would be?

Well, actually its really not just LDS. ahem. its the christian belief. Everytime something disasterish happens we are all there helping out. And change churchs to a non denomenational christian church. Catholics have those litte belief things. I think people should be baptized when they think they r ready. And we dont charge money, we ask, and people give if they want to. Christians are great.

The LDS movement was started by a man that used witchcraft to receive his "enlightenment" of scripture. The movement was founded by a polygamous scoundrel that supplemented the truth of God with a disproven method and a fake Egyptian document.
Is it really a surprise when you see a conflicting set of standards?

I'm going thru the same thing....(different denominatin tho) they talk big and they talk loud about being benevolent and helping the needy???? But notice the needy they help in the church are those in leadership, or those they're trying to convert; Some churches are like high-school.......a popularity contest. It's really very sad and I am sorry for you.........

In Bible times many churches had problems, now days ALL churches have problems, but because Jesus said, Love one another, we have to support everyone of our church members.

They are proven false to it's power and Jesus will turn such ones away from him. Money is the root to all evil.
