its not the type of oil that leaves them greasy, its the `process of cooking and drying them out... first, the temp should be at 365-375 degrees F when you place the chips in, then once you remove them, place on a bakers rack-type grill to drain and season at that point, otherwise dry on paper towels, however if they sit on the soggy paper towels they will get greasy again... i use canola oil, but veg oil is fine
