I don't know about raisins, but chocolate won't kill them
though I almost had a heart attack when the dog got on the counter while I was at work and ate a chocolate cake

Chocolate is very toxic for dogs and cats. I am not sure about raisins but I know for sure that chocolate will kill a dog if enough is eaten.

raisins, grapes, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, alcohol, mushrooms & onions all contain toxins that will build up in your dogs system and can be lethel. Chocolate contains a chemical theobromine that is toxic and even small amounts can prove to be fatal. Onions & garlic can cause your dog to be anemic. Your better off not feeding your dog any of these items.

one raisin or a very small chocolate are probably not going to hurt your dog (unless they have increased sensitivity). But large quantities of either of these may be lethal.

Chocolate is poisonous to dogs. If you feed it to them they will die. I don't know about raisins.
