I just started gross anatomy lab, and everyone (including myself) is complaining of the same thing: My hands reek of latex gloves and formaldehyde for the next several hours after lab, no matter what. I've repeatedly washed my hands, with different kinds of soaps, to no avail.

Does anyone have any tricks they may have learned or heard of to help me out?

Oh goodness...I remember those days! LOL

You could always tell the nursing and medical students 'cuz we all smelled like formaldehyde.

You can Febreze your clothing, but as for your hands...you might try lemon juice (rub a half a lemon over your hands then rinse). That's the only thing I found that made any difference at all. It didn't get rid of the smell completely, but it helped. Don't know if Febrezing your hands would do anything...

good luck!

After washing your hands try some kind of LOTION so it will stay on your hands and go into your skin to help the odor. Go to bath and body works and buy some of the EUCALYPTUS SPEARMINT hand lotion, or any kind of cream with that scent. Dont worry it smells wonderful like strong dial soap. Works wonders! Good luck!

Try stainless steel soap, it's been proven to take away fishy smell from fishermen at seafood markets.

use vinegar first and then wash you hands in warm soapy water with bleach
don't pour bleach directly on your hand because bleach eats away at the layers of skin mix it with the water first.
