I wouldn't say they were able to overcome their difficulties just by praising God, they overcame their difficulties through God's direct help, and a bit of their faith too.
I think it's more accurate to say that many praised God while being helped through their trials (also before and after). In which case there are so many stories: Job, Joseph who was sold into Egypt, Ester, David and Goliath, Daniel in the Lion's Den, Paul of Tarsus, the Many people Jesus Healed....

You surely know Paul was the teacher of such praise and faith, since then it has been recorded as Miracles. you will not find much writing on them ,as single events. but as progressive events. Jesus never taught them to praise him. Paul found out it worked, I found out it works , God inhabits his Praises,
and only one wo praises God to the extent they receive from him, will know that , it cannot be taught better than Paul taught it. But it is a experience we have to have our self, So give it your best and write your Book

Luke 1:61-64
62And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
63And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.
64And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.
Luke 18:41-43
41Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
Acts 16:24-26
24Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

They're in there, but you've got to read the contents. Reading in context works better than just looking up isolated verses.
The best place to begin is Psalms.

First of all Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ appeared to Paul and called him to become a witness to him and to proclaim the gospel. Have faith, that the Lord will answer your prayer but in His time not yours.
