In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

First of all, when you pray to God, you should phrase your prayers in a "if it is in your will," type of mindset. God always answers prayer, even if it isn't the answer that you want. I mean, if God answering every prayer as we see fit would be ludicrous. We should ask God to do what He knows is best rather than our own selfish desires.
Secondly, maybe the devil does answer prayers, I don't know, I haven't tried, nor will I ever. But if you pray to the devil you may get what you want in this life, but is that really worth the next? It seems that you do believe the devil and God are real, so what can you be thinking?

Let's get one thing straight, if you pray to satan none of your prayers will be heard to God. God's says that it's not that he can't do anything or hear you, it's because your sins create a void between you and him. Sins are the transgression of the law, the breaking of God's ten commandments. Now satan is already condemned to hell and he knows this. He will answer your prayers so that you will keep coming to him in worship (prayer is a form of worship), instead of giving your worship to God alone(the first commandment). satan tries to drag all he can down with him as a form of way of getting back at God, be careful. I beg you, stop praying to satan immediately, pick up your bible and start to read it. You will find only temporary satisfaction in running to satan to fullfil your needs. But after you die there is nothing satan can do because both of you will be thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night. Unless you turn from your sins, and put faith in Jesus Christ, who took your punishment upon himself on the cross so that we will escape the lake of fire and be forever with him in paradise. There is no other way of getting right with God.

Satan answers prayers. Yes,BUT the key difference is he is a liar & a false God. This will be proven, when Jesus comes back to reclaim the world. You will not have to guess.....is this the time? Trust the word of the bible. Trumpets will sound..there will be no doubt in the sky, while Christ is returning!! Read a good Bible version. Perhaps an N.I.V. text. God bless you,Mark.

If your prayers are for the real benifit of someone else, with no expectation of gain on your part, use whatever name suits you.
If you want personal gain, and a fast easy way to get it, it really doesn't matter who you pray to...
Be assured that Satan hears your prayers to God, as well as your prayers to himself. If Satan loved you, would he not answer both?

If you are praying to Satan, then you are not praying to God. You can not serve two masters, dear. Satan will give you whatever it is you think you want; or cause your mind to believe that you want something and it is not wrong, in order to destroy you.
