which state?

I've 3 daughters comming soon to canada. which state do you suggest best? regarding higher incomes, low taxes,more jobs, better education and most importantly being safer ?

If your daughters are going to Canada, then the regions are called Provinces. In the United States they are called States. But it really doesn't matter what you call them as they are all the same thing.


As for Canada, I would suggest Ontario. Specifically Southern Ontario. Southern Ontario is the most developed area of Canada. Places like Toronto will be extremly expensive since it's a world renound city, but there are many affordable and safe places. I would suggest a place called London. It's in central Southwest Ontario, and has a low crime rate, is developing so there are alot of job oppurtunies at the moment, and there is a good education system, with an option of private schools.

First off, we call them provinces, not states. As for which is best - it depends on what their education is or are they coming here to go to school? If they're coming to go to school, look at the universities rather than the province. If they are coming to work, what is their education. Certain provinces have more specialized industries so it depends on what they want to do with their lives as to where they should settle. As for the safety aspect, each city in each province is different. For the most part, we're fairly safe in Canada but there are problem areas in certain cities just like there are problem areas in every major city in the world.

Yes, as the others have mentioned, they are Provinces here in Canada, and it all depends on your personal preference which one you would like to settle in. Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia seem to be the most popular these days, although the rest are great too! I live in New Brunswick, but the jobs aren't as great here...Nova Scotia might be ideal too...just remember though, safety can't be guaranteed anywhere. Stuff happens.

That entirely depends on local factors rather than state wide politics, for instance, would you be purchasing a home or renting an apartment? Naturally a community with a competitive acadamic program will be a district that funds the school through taxes, so you may find high tax/competitive academics and low tax/poor academics.

for starters we have provinces and territorries..

right now for all of those things Alberta seems to be the spot.. they have one of the lowest tax rates in canada... and higher incomes (i've heard people at tim hortons make 15/hr)
however the cost of living is really high
