How about using a stainless steel thermos flask. They don't break or weigh a lot and keep the water cold.
Just a thought.

Have you heard of the Brita water system? They have an offer on just now that if you buy some of the cartridges you get some water bottles free. I'm not sure if they are filter bottles you'd have to go and have a look. But I think that's what your looking for. Good luck babes and keep up with the water, that's how much my dietitian told me I had to drink to keep my body hydrated.

You can buy kids drink bottles or ones for cyclists. The ones that water come in are fine to be refilled (read the label - it says 'Still Spring Water'. When you refill them, it says the same.) ... seriously, the health hazard with bottled water comes when the bottles are exposed to sunlight for long periods of time with the same water in them. If you are refilling from the tap frequently, that isn't a problem.

Just avoid plastic bottles if possible and use a glass one, they are risk free and don't degrade. Or use a metal one.

PS you got the amount just right I think, 2L's.

Why not get one of those purpose built drinking water dispensers that fit on your desk? I have one that has a small plastic cup and holds about a litre or so - got it in Asda. Not very expensive either.

If you look on the bottom of bottled water they show a number. The higher the number the more suitable it is to be re used. you will find that alot of bottles are suitable now as to encourage re cycling!!!!!!
