Hi, Your ear is hurting because the tube between your middle ear and throat call the eustatian tube is closed due to inflammation in your throat. If you can get to the store Chloraseptic will reduce the pain used as directed aspirin will help the inflammation. You need to equalize the pressure in your middle ear this is the same principal as going up a mountain,hold your mouth and nose closed and blow if this is too painfull you may have an infection and should see a doctor,if you can tolerate this ok do it 20 or so times a min. one other simple thing you can do for your throat is to gargle several times a day with salt water two teasp. salt in a glass of water also drink at least 5 glasses of PLAIN water a day. It sounds like your draining from an ear infection, which would explain the sore ear and throat. You should go see a doc and get a prescription. For temporary relief, I'd try some cloraseptic spray for the sore throat (to numb it) and some advil for the ear pain. Hope this helps.

Whoa! You're not supposed to EAT vicks vapo rub! That can't be good..
Umm.. I had good luck with Zicam. Or you might take some Nyquil or something like that.. Zicam is good for during the day as it doesn't make you drowsy and you can get a little spray thing of it that is small and very portable.

for you throat mix salt and hot water and garcle it and the reason that your ear and throat is hurting is because something is wrong with ur nose
i know its hard to belive but trust me!!
you might have a piece of cartage blocking ur breathing
go see a doctor and you will see!!

don't know about your ear but vinegar and honey mixed together is good for a sore throat. the vinegar kills the germs and the honey makes it taste better.

whilst my throat is sore I ask my good black pal to grant me a number of his miracle drugs. He says it comes from a paranormal place. i could describe it as a thick, sparkling and pungent liquid. It sooths my throat each and every time!

warm water and lemon, squeeze the lemon in a glass of water and drink away, for your ear warm up som olive oil and put a few drops in your ear.

This is stupid and gross but if your absolutly desperate my mom makes me eat Vicks vapo rub, and it is good by the next day!!!Just swallow like a teaspoon of that icky crap!
