I think England is the only one that has now blocked carry on luggage, allowing only a wallet, ticket, passport, glasses (but on in their case), contact case (but not with solution), keys (but not on an electronic key fob) and baby essentials on board in a clear plastic bag. I think airlines in the U.S. are taking away liquids, gels and lotions in any form (makeup, shampoo, shaving cream, etc) but are still allowing carry-on baggage. Not sure about international flights, though. Personally, I think the reaction to this was way overboard. If they end up blocking all carry on items, then my company better be prepared for me to travel by other means. There is no way I am going to put my laptop, digital camera, GPS and cell phone in checked bags...not with the number of times they've lost my baggage and not with the horror stories I've heard of stuff in checked bags getting destroyed and stolen.

It was announced on Turkish TV last night that carry-on luggage will be prohibited on all flights leaving Turkey, regardless of destination. You will be restricted to wallet, passport, keys without electronic devices, etc. in a clear plastic bag. Everything else goes in your checked bags. No mention was make of how long the restriction will be in force.

Check it with ur airlines company. Different companies have different rules. Lufthansa allows carry on luggage and one personal item. I asked it at the airport to the check-in ppl.

Provided you're carrying the bare essentials (passport, wallet) and in clear plastic bags. Baby formula might be an issue, but babies need that on board.
