No, you cannot stop the cat from digging in the garden, however, i find it useful if you give it some carrot plants to plant while it is digging up the garden. So far, the entire harvest of vegetables is from the cat who continually digs up the garden. My girlfriend says we should buy him a jcb... with a jib at the back to make the holes bigger, but i then corrected her by telling her that the cat may then decide to join a UNION... and then we will have to pay him!

The cat is currently due on Ground Force and playing in the Black Dyke MIlls Brass Band in Halifax... He is the solo cornet player! So in answer to your question... just buy him a JCB you tight wad...

There is no way you can stop your Kitty Cat from digging in the garden soil. Usually they are covering up their feces. I have a huge cactus in a major planter and our three legged Max, is always trying to dig up the soil. Well, one day I checked on why he was doing that and much to my dis-like I found he was covering his own manure. They even like to cover their own urine. Also I found that some cats will actually try to dig up little rodents named Shru's . They are small like a mouse and dig tunnels in the yard. Our cat Max, is always standing by the entrance of the tunnel waiting for this rodent to surface. I have even seen Max, trying to dig this pest out. Watch your cat close and you should be able to soon tell, why he is doing this.

Cats like messing in comfortable soil and could continuously use that in the process decision to the different. once you narrow your roses decrease back, or the different prickly bush, unfold a pair of twigs around the graceful soil factors they many times can not dig. Works every time. basically renew whilst the previous ones are dry. maximum repellants do no longer paintings after an afternoon or 2 despite the fact which you best could use this technique each and each few weeks.

how lucky u are - the cat is burying its waste, digging up shrews and voles, and turning over earth that is back breaking work. Hire him out and the income should cover the cost of a few wrecked plants.

At Lowes and Home Depot they sell this granule stuff called "Get Away". I use it in my garden and my mom also uses it in hers and we have found it works well on repelling dogs & cats from the garden. Good luck! =)

You may be using a fertilizer or mulch that makes the cat think it needs to bury something.

Not really, other than keeping him inside. He probably is using your garden as a toilet, which in most cases is alright because it is fertelizer.
