Just wondered if anyone else has dealt with this sleazy company, and if the results were good. I sent a letter certified telling them to validate my debt or cease and desist contacting me or pursuing the debt. Any other ideas from someone who's dealt with these people? I also don't talk to them on the phone, they are RUDE, RUDE, RUDE and you don't get anywhere.

They couldn't tell me who the original creditor was, or the date of the original debt (more reasons I asked them to validate the debt). It overall sounds like a company that somebody needs to put out of business, their ethics are wacked at best.

I have not had dealings with such, but your rights are clear. You can instruct the collector that they are not to call you again; if they violate this instruction, they can be prosecuted. Also, file a complaint with the Attorney General of your state, and they will do something about it.
Another thing to do is to pull a copy of your credit reports (via www.annualcreditreport.com) and see what shows up. The results may surprise you.

We the surfers of cyber world meet with so many people every day. Surfing the net is the best pastime one can ever develop, as internet has the most knowledge, a surfer will never have to wait for a answer. OK i am sorry you are dealing with these people.
you did the right thing sending those letters. If they left messages keep them, they sound like they will leave messages against your rights. How old is this debt i bet it may be out of your SOL, you may have a scavenger debt collector after you. They buy the debt from the original creditor you 2 cents on the dollar. They need to send you a validation of debt in 30 days. You must pull your credit report up too. i could be a scam

That collection agency is pretty bad. They are also known to try to collect on time barred debts.
You need to find out what the statute of limitations (SOL) is for your state. If you are out of SOL, send them a SOL letter.
The first link, Bud Hibbs site, will give you some information on how bad they are, also click on the 'read consumer comments' tab. (Bud's site is always a good place to look up many scummy collection agency's)
The second link, the Rip-off Report, is one of many that talks about their abusive practices.
The third link is a to a do it yourself credit repair site where you can learn your rights, the SOL for you state and how to deal with this company.
Everything on this site is free to read and use. Never pay a site for what you can get for free.
