I have headaches constantly, every single day, all the time. I have tried different things and some things help a little bit but never really take the pain away. I've mostly just gotten used to it and learned how to ignore it and go on with my days. It really sucks to feel this way all the time... has anyone else found anything that really works for them? I would really appreciate your suggestions.

I have been seeing a chiropractor since I was 12 (I'm 24 now) and it helps a lot, but unless I go like twice a week, which gets expensive with a $30 co-pay, I am still in pain most of the time.

I don't know if you take anything for it, but I get migraines and if I take a painkiller too much, I get rebound headaches everyday, so I've learned to ignore some of the migraines, or try to get rid of the migraine without medication, take a long hot shower, or take a bandanna (sp?) and run it under cold water, wring it out and tie it tightly around your head, it really helps with migraines and tension headaches.
Also stretching exercises like yoga or pilates helps with tension headaches.

Has anyone suggested what is causing them yet? Perhaps that would be the better way to establish, what would be the best way to treat it. Perhaps you will notice, at the base of the skull, it will be quite tender when you press there.. Particularly on one side. There are usually other symptoms which accompany a headache but may be much less obvious or troublesome.
Headaches are the prime reason for people going into a chiropractors office. Ire considered their bread and butter cases.

jcmelby couldn't be more right, I see a chiropractor weekly and it does wonders for the way that I feel! Not only did it relieve the constant head and neck pain I had dealt with for years, but it helps with allergies, congestion, and stress. I firmly believe that it is more than worth the money!

Going to a spa and having either a relaxation facial, or a relaxation massage always works for me. They massage the face, neck, shoulders and head, and pain just melts away. So much better than meds!

CHIROPRACTIC- I am a chiropractor. I'm can honestly say that over the years, there has only been one patient that I have not been able to significantly help with headaches. What have you got to lose?

headaches should get better, not worse and they should not hang around forever. call you doctor and ask for a cat scan, it may reveal the real problem behind your headache. if you have no luck with your regular doc, make an appointment with a neurologist.good luck
