if ppl were spreading rumors about you, you must've gotten a little carried away, maybe they saw you with another friend and they assumed you were up to something. you know the truth so act like it, you don't need to prove anything. as far as you ex, friendship cannot exist between man and woman, maybe she says friends as a way of giving you another chance or for you to keep her close enough to see if you really were cheating on her. women are vile creatures man! watch your meat!

I am sorry that she won't listen to your explanations; perhaps you might tell her that there is no point being friends if she won't listen to your perspective or trust that you're telling the truth. Trust is important in friendship as well as more serious relationships. She may be using friendship as an excuse to cut ties with you. She should also realize she is being unfair to "want nothing to do with you" and yet call and tell you that the two of you should stay friends.
