Either a type of music that is "depressing" in a melodramatic way(i.e. the cure, my chemical romance, alkaline trio) or a person fitting that description. Usually, an stereotypical "emo person" tends to wear black, fitted clothes, even if a guy-possibly wears eyeliner/makeup, very pale complexion(almost like goths, but more liberal-cofeeshoplike-but they are a step away from beatnik.
