Wonderful innit, all these people that give up so easily!

CB was designed to allow fellow road users to chat whilst driving to enable a better rapport and social interaction.

Ideal to find out where the police speed traps are and to warn others.

I don't mind admitting that I was 'on-air' back in the seventies on american a.m. sets long before legalisation in the UK, and then converted to the awful f.m. setup of CB27/81.

We put up with the kids 'bucketmouthing' on-air, little did they realise that they could be tracked as part of the fun of the 'Fox hunt', and we often came to the rescue of fellow CB'ers that had roadside problems.

Well, all that aside, I'm still on channel, and I think its really good fun to be able to talk to fellow motorists rather than just sitting totally isolated in your little metal box, mobile phones cost money to operate, CB is virtually free.

CB is well and truly dead and buried. i can talk to anyone in the world on my PC with crystal clear clarity on programmes like skype or yahoo messenger without sitting there going 10.4 for a copy, breaker, breaker, and all that. sorry dude its out of date technology it belongs in a museum if I'm in my car a hands free call on my mobile works just as well as any CB ever did nice to see something we can get nostalgic about but the CB is doomed to transistor heaven
