I love my boyfriend and he loves me. We have an awesome relationship which is going strong and serious. Yet, people critizise us so much. For one thing because He's Mexican (well half) and I'm Puerto Rican. What they critizise most is his looks. Most of my family loves him but critizise the fact that "I can do better." My guy friends treat him like crap because they're jelous. They always say, "You should've been with me." I usually get a lot of attention from guys and they tend to treat him like crap. Like if he wasn't deserving of me. What's that about? Why can't they leave him alone? I love him and wouldn't trade him for the world!

It's good that u love him. And love him even more, cuz there's no reason why should we appreciate someone less or more. and bout the friends, u can just tell them to f*ck off.

Listen, girl, if u fall just a little, because od others pressure, then u are not worth of anything.

sergej jesenjin, the famouse russian poet wrote this:

smile, even if feel like to cry
strangle all the pain that ur soul's hiding
because that is how it is suposed to be
in world that could never be changed.

*** sorry bout the translation, i'm not qualified to translate songs from russian that good. hope u got the point

You're right, looks are not everything. Although it might be hard I think you should try to ignore the negativity surrounding you and your boo. Your family is not dating him nor are your "guy friends". If they don't like him that's no concern of yours. Stop focusing on them because remember, someone will always have something to say about your relationships whether he's attractive, non-attractive, tall, short, dark or light. Your the only one that needs to like him:}

Just ignore them, it's not worth trying to make then stop or get over it, they won't. If people are TRYING to get you irritated, it's obviously working. As long as what they say doesn't effect your relationship, let them talk all they want.

Ignore them. If you are happy, nothing else maters. Your friends are probably jealous that you are happy or that you b/f beat them to you. Don't listen to them. If I were you, I'd limit my time I'd spend with these people, they seem like a bad infuence to your relationship.
