instead of medical tape can i use duct tape? we only have duct tape!

i keep telling them to get some.....

i looked through all 4 of our first aide kits (yes, i hurt myself enough to need 4) i found some medical tape....

Yes, but it will hurt terriblly to remove because the adhesive is stickier, (is that a word?), and it will be hard to remove the residue. Also, the toe won't breath as well becuse of the plastic like coating, so don't wrap it too tight.

Heck, I could splint you with any tape I could find. If I was using a nasty tape, like duct, I'd use some tissue under the tape to keep it off the skin. Masking tape would be better, though.

If I were you I would wrap bandage around two toes (to keep the one straight) and tape the bandage. It won't itch as bad as if the tape was on your skin. Old clean T shirts, if cotton, make great bandage material. wrap it back around your ankle to keep it on better if nessasary. Best wishes, been there done that. I wince thinking about it.

While medical tape would be easier to apply and to remove later.
I guess anything would be better than nothing.

I would tear it into small strips and make sure to put gauze under it.

it doesnt matter as long as it holds. That is the only purpose of the tape...to hold.
