I met my fiancé online - we'll have known each other just less than 3 years when we get married. We met for real10 days after first getting in contact with each other.
I would have said yes if he'd proposed within a year - we'd had a couple of tough situations so I knew we could cope well with anything that could come up, but most importantly I just knew he was the one for me.

I seriously doubt it...I prefer to know the person face-to-face for at least a year before even discussing marriage...I can't see me marrying someone that, of that first year, several weeks or months were online contact only...

ok number one i wouldn't go meet anyone who i talked to online...you never know who you could be meeting...and depending on if you met and liked that person and didn't talk to them just online but spent time with them and was around them all the time in person then yeah maybe an engagement or something along those lines..

If it felt right, yes. No different from meeting someone anywhere else. You can get to know some people really quickly, others it can take years and you still never really know them.
