Well, you need 5000 points to get to level 5. So you can do any or all of the following:

Answer 2500 questions (at most - you'd have to never be picked!)
Answer 417 questions (at least - you'd have to ALWAYS be best!)
Vote on 5000 questions.
Log in every day for 13.7 years but never do anything.

By my calculations, if you were always picked for best and always answered and voted as much as you were allowed to, you could hit level 5 just seven days after first registering. I'm sure it takes most people a lot, lot longer.

I've noticed, though, that many of the people at high levels are those with really high 'best answer' rates... well, at least better than 50%. Most of them seem to have specialties where they answer lots of questions. So try that - find something you're good at and help lots of people out with it!

Hope that helps! Good luck!

You've got the requirements.
Here's a suggestion...vote for answers and then rate them. You get 1 point for each of those. At your level you can earn an extra 80 points a day just doing that.
However, you only get a point for a positive rating. Negative rating just makes you feel better. ; )
You also get 10 points for a best answer (you don't have a lot of control over that) and 3 points for choosing a best answer to your question. (Don't forget to choose one of our answers.)

You'll have to answer 2500 questions, that should get you right at level 5, and if your answer is picked as the best that's an extra 10 points. I dunno why it's addictive, I'm addicted too :)

You gotta get a certain number of points. I have mine rigged so that I get 50 points a question. You gotta go into the settings and change your status to "mentally underdeveloped". That way you'll get more points per question.

YAY! 50 more points!!!

you need 5,000pts, I know it seem's like it takse forever, I have been doing this forever and I'm only on lvl 3. my problem is that I get so curieous. If I didn't ask so many questions I would probably be at lvl5 already.
