A second child coming into the family could definitely be the problem. If your child has recently finished being potty-trained, it can be very typical for them to revert back in their development when a new baby will be in the family. Stress of any kind can affect your child. It may not be a new family member, specifically, but all the changes your child can sense around him (new baby crib, cleaning/preparing for the new baby, babyshowers). Take the time to talk to him about what is going on and reassure him that you will have plenty of time for both him and the new baby.

That is one possibility, but there are several others. The child could have a urinary tract or bladder infection (SEE A DOCTOR!) The child could be having problems (God forbid) being molested. Talk to your child about good and bad touches in a friendly way and ask if anyone has touched there. Monitor your care givers; watch for other signs (reluctance to be with a provider, etc.) In any case, SEE A DOCTOR!
Hopefully it is nothing serious, but SEE A DOCTOR!

I think you're probably on the right track. Although, there are many medical reasons for urinary incontinence. As a child, I suffered from a similar condition which was helped by a chiropractor- believe it!

Yes it is common for small children to "revert" to more babyish or toddler ways when it comes to having a new sibling. Be patient, and encourage the child to talk to you about any issues they are having with a new brother/sister..If it continues or gets destructive, talk to your pediatrician.

Yes. He is reverting to his old ways in a bid for attention. Mom needs to pay more attention to him, and talk more with him about the new baby. Make him feel involved.

yess. also if he knows he has to be potty trained to go to preschool he might want to make sure he is not missing out on any of mommys attention so he dosent want to go to preschool or get less attention then the new baby.

I think its pretty normal for children to pee on themselves. I did until I was about 2nd grade. It wasn't stress. It was just because I was too busy (playing, eating, or was just scared to go to the bathroom by myself) that I would just go where I was.

could be a bladder infection. When my cousin was 4 she had a bladder infection and it reversed her potty training. We had to train her again.
