Those in front are in reverse but still going the same speed. Hard to imagine but riddle-rules are riddle rules.
Or did I shoot from the hip here and miss something, had a bad night.

They all went the same way in reverse.
Or the first two cars drive in reverse while the rest following behind are driving forward...

enable xc(t) = your motor vehicle's place and xt(t) = the tractors place. At t=0 xc(0) = 0 xt(0) = 25 xc(t) = 27t -(one million/2)(7)(t^2) xt(t) = 25 + 10t Set xc(t) = xt(t) and re-set up 7t^2 - 34t + 50 = 0 There are actually not any genuine roots to this equation because b^2-4ac = 34^2-4*7*50 = -244 that's < 0 this implies your motor vehicle in no way reaches the tractor. locate once you provide up by applying placing Vc(t) = 0 Vc(t) = 27 - 7t = 0 so at t = 27/7 = 3.9s your motor vehicle has stopped. How far did you go formerly scuffling with? xc(3.9) = 27*3.9 - 3.5*(3.9^2) = fifty two.1m xt(3.9) = 25+ 10* 3.9 = sixty 3.6m that's 11.5m in front of your motor vehicle on the 2nd you provide up.
