I don't like my sibling additude and what she does to get me in trouble, but I do love them more than anything.
Almost every sibling get into a fight and that's normal. We sometimes say what don't really mean to each other. And just because we were fighting, doesn't mean we hate and don't love each other.
I don't like my sister's additude and what she does to try to get me into trouble. But I do lover her. There are time when we are nice to each other..then other times she acts the way I don't like and I treat her the same way she treats me.
I do love them more than anything.

The keyword in your question was (sometimes). Focus on mutual aid and support. A united front to the outside world despite your differences.

The author Adam Bellow wrote about the conflicts among Jack, Robert, and Joseph Kennedy Jr. The authors book "In Praise of Nepotism" has other examples of how sibling rivalries, and conflicts can be constructive. Bellow claims that their father Joe Sr. allowed for conflict among the boys. Allowed the oldest to dominate the younger. Joe Sr. was fine about their conflict as long as they could face the outside world together.

Despite your common parents you are unique individuals. What is important is how you find ways to unite around shared values. How you resolve differences. My father used to say: "You cannot dance the beautiful dance until you step on each others toes".

I like my siblings but I am not close to any of them and one, I think, is a jerk. I am middle-aged and I'd say my parents created the distance between us. I have tried to open up communications but I get silence back; not how I would have wanted it but the damage was done. When I was young sometimes I liked them and sometimes I didn't probably depending if they were nice or mean to me and any other crap they were doing that was upsetting me.

I'm one of 9 children. One died almost 4 years ago. We are very close because our parents raised us this way. 5 of us live out of state and we e-mail each other once a week we're together for all the holidays and once a year we have a 4 day vacation with all of our children and spouses. It's a blast and we look forward to it every year. We have disagreements but we never let them last long......I guess we're lucky.

yes of coarse...doesn't matter what they do or how they act...thats just who they are..they helped me see that no matter what or who i may meet in life they are different and will do things that we sometimes find disturbing....same as everyday folks....but the best thing is we can always look back and laughj at things...if you think of somethings that make you mad...look at them now...you'll end up laughing...everytime my sister made me mad...my mom would say...just look at her and remember somethiing she did that was so funny...and you'll understand why

while growing up with 5 brothers and sisters, we had fights that would put any family to shame. but now that we are grown i know that i could ask anything of any of them and they wouldn't ask any question. i love them and hope to have them around forever.
