Had my own bouts with anxiety years ago. I got the most help from a self-help group called "Recovery." It is run like AA, on a first-name basis. People from all walks of life attend. It helps so much to talk to people in the same boat and get support from them.

It helps to put your anxiety in perspective. I found that what bothered me, someone else would find laughable, yet I was not concerned about something that disturbed him/her.

The link to Recovery below may not display the whole URL, but it should take you there. Good luck.

Neurontin is typically prescribed for seizure disorders but it's also used as a mood stabilizer for disorders such at bipolar. It can make a person feel sleepy so I suppose it can help this. If you're not taking Neurontin at this time then talk to your doctor about what's best for your anxiety.
