Does anyone have a guaranteed quick fix to stop a nose bleed? Just wondering.

Well when i was growing up i had tons of nose bleeds and finally it was that i had a bleeding disorder... but they taught me how to stop the bleeding or atleast slow it down. FIRST of all DO NOT LEAN YOUR HEAD BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It may stop the bleeding but the blood gets in your stomach and irritates it and it could choke you. Lean your head forward, pinch the bridge of your nose very hard (the lower end of right between your eyes) and hold like that for 30 seconds. take it off, don't snifff!! and gently wipe your nose for a couple seconds to see if the bleeding stopped. If it didn't , do it again. 30 seconds each time. or longer....
To prevent from coming back- don't sniff or blow your nose for 12 hours (i know its hard but its worth it) If the nose bleeds are caused by dryness put a q tip in vaseline and rub it around in your nose (yes i know its gross but it works)

Oh yeah you are talking to the queen of nose bleeds! I have broken my nose 3 times in my life. My nose will bleed if you bump it the wrong way. If you pinch your nose right at the bridge. You want to put a little bit of pressure on it. And tilt your head back. You should be good to go shortly.
Hey you can lean your head forward if you want (if you don't mind blood all over. Oh and if you are worried about choking on your blood in your throat...here is the smart thing to do....SWALLOW! =)

The WORST thing that you can do is put your head back. BAD IDEA. The blood will run back into your stomach, into your throat or worse into your lungs. I used to get nose bleeds all the time b/c I had a raised blood vesel in my nose.
Lean your head forward, pinch the bridge of your nose and, put a cold cloth on the back of your neck. Stay standing if possible.

i have had a nose bleed befor and trust me they suck. the best way for me to get it to stop is pinch the bone in your nose, the part between your eyes and the tip. it will stop fast. good luck!!

Dampen a cloth and shove it under your upper lip and apply pressue. That's where the vein runs. Don't lean your head back, you could choke on the blood.
