Ask the victims of the Holocaust that question! Yes. If you do not eat and can manage to stay somewhat healthy, you will lose weight. On a side note, when the Allies discovered the Nazi concentration camps they discovered that the prisoners had gone so long without food that the only way for them to gain weight was to go on a "binge-fast" diet. They would eat a lot of food one day, then fast, or eat very little, for a day or two. The body's response was the feast or famine response with the metabolism slowing down so that the person gained weight.

you need more fresh veggies and fruit. You also aren't eating any protein! Try eating tuna fish, egg whites, and beans. Cottage cheese is good for you too. You need to vary what you eat or else you're just going to fall back into old habits. Try drinking 2 glasses of water before each meal. This will make you feel fuller and you won't have to eat as much. Multiple small meals everyday will keep your metabolism working so you're body keeps off the weight. If you go on some sort of shock diet you'll end up gaining all the weight back in a week.

The trick to losing weight is burning more calories than you put in. IF you eat nothing, then you can definetly loose wiehght if you exersice. The best way to do it though is eat 6 small meals a day, and exersice. heres what i do.
Eat a small meal like yougurt and fruit
drink water
go for a jog
eat a granola bar
drink water
ride my bike or somthing to work my cardio
drink water
eat a high protien, low fat lunch
drink water
go swiming
eat a dinner that has alot of protien, and some fats because fats are good for you if you dont have too much.
drink water before going to bed.
So yes, if you stay hidrated but dont eat anything you can loose weight, but you will get realy sick after a day or 2

It's better to eat between 5-6 SMALL meals a day.. it speeds your metabolism
Drink lots of water
Dont eat after 8 or 9 because your body burns calories the slowest at night while you sleep, so eating **** before bed is a bad idea
Exercising (even if just walking or fast walking) is good with dieting
To make a long story short, you Do need to eat to lost weight.

When people eat nothing at all their body goes into famine mode. To really understand this, you may want to do a bit of research. Look into the problems doctors experienced when they tried to put weight back onto the prisoners rescued from German Concentration Camps after WWII. To your sister, if people don't loose weight eating nothing, how do you explain 30 and 40 pound weight loose by people in survival situations.

Hi
Please do not follow fad diets as they do have terrible consequenses,so try this programme this really helped me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good Luck

will you lose weight if you don't eat nothing at all
that's double negative .you should say will you lose weight if you don't eat. it's called fasting. which i'm doing and have lost weight so far 30 lbs without diet pills. I swim alot though.
Fasting is good for the soul. Catholics do it during the lenten season. The muslims do it and they are more strict. it's not a very healthy approach but it works. Mostly i eat one meal a day preferably during lunch and only eat a fruit
during supper. After 7p nothing at all.
i drink a lot of water as water is good and almost makes you full. 95% of our total body weight is water.
The ideal way to lose weight and you're right in this. ... is to eat small portions and exercise. Do you also know that Kellog's special cereal claims in their ad by substituting two meals with two bowls of cereal, one can lose weight.? Losing weight is not only measured in poundage but also inches. Increase your muscle tone and define your muscles and lose inches esp around the waistline and lower torso. by diet and exercise. they go hand in hand. Upper body weight is harder to lose.
a healthy diet is one low in carbs and high in protein. When you eat a lot of carbohydrates, your body burns all the carbohydrates or calories and turn it into the simplest form....sugar for energy. it's a quick fix. The brain needs sugar. to function.
Diabetics when they go into hypoglycemic attacks needs sugar. that's why they are advised to carry a piece of candy with them at all times.
Sorry for the digression. When you eat a high protein diet , the body stores the protein into fat reserves.(glycogen) It only uses it in an emergency basis. So if the body doesn't have the immediate source of sugar(glucose) available for energy, it will utilize the fat reserves for energy, hence no fat storage, and one loses unwanted weight. This is a popular kind of diet right now. And you could see the logical deduction, right?
hopefully this settles your argument with your sis as i don't know her stand on this.

Yes, you will lose weight if you do not eat anything. Although eventually, your body will go into starvation mode and hang on to whatever is left in your body. By that time, you will look like a walking skeleton, probably have lost a lot of hair, and caused major health problems for yourself.
