Those would be some stupid kids, some of those toys were big. I assume the company makes more money charging for shipping then just shoving a toy in a box. Sad really.

You are right! Too many choking hazards. Back in the day, you could get glasses inside oatmeal boxes and even some collectable figurines-okay waaay back in the day. Remember when the toys in Cracker Jacks were cool? Ahhh, the good ole days!

Yes, I remember the excitement of digging for my little prize in the middle of multi-shaped cereal grain. I had a lot of competition from my siblings...so to gain the prize was quite an achievement. My mother often discovered newly purchased cereal boxes crudely ripped open by fat lil' fingers...and laid to waste on the pantry shelf. I suppose it is too expensive now...what with multiple disclaimers and law suits...but I agree...those were the days!

I often wonder that too. I used to get my parents to buy me cereal just for the toy. It had to be a great marketing strategy.

The idea got old, perhaps. It was fun to get a toy when you bought cereal.

Cause people realized how stupid of any idea putting shitty toys in cereal boxes was. Gosh, who ever wanted those anyways - my brother would always try to fight me for them, but i always threw them away if I could

I think to find out if it was the toys that was the consumer's wanted or the cereal the consumer's wanted.

I agree, maybe they stopped because it was cheaper to create clever shapes and corny cartoon characters to interest kids even more. It's sad how today's marketing is taking advantage of kids.

Choking hazard is not worth it. They ship em to McDonalds now.
